WhatsApp will no allow you to take screenshots.

WhatsApp has returned with another exciting and long-awaited feature for its users. The instant messaging platform is testing a feature that prevents users from taking screenshots or recording media sent on a single view.

WABetaInfo, a WhatsApp watchdog known for keeping an eye on the latest updates in WhatsApp betas and its latest releases, stated that the feature will be seen by some beta testers.

WhatsApp introduced an option last year that allowed any image to be sent to “View Once,” allowing the image to disappear after being opened, similar to Instagram and Snapchat.

It now wants to “block” users from recording WhatsApp media sent on one view as part of the platform’s privacy features.

The most recent release is available on TestFlight for some iPhone users running WhatsApp beta 22.21.0.71 (build 405622068), which prevents them from screenshotting content sent with the “View Once” option.

If a user attempts to take a screenshot, WhatsApp will display a pop-up message that says “blocked for added privacy.” The new privacy setting cannot be turned off.
